Trifle
Another recipe that I have grown up with. This is nice and light for summer and tastes yummy!
Method:
First layer: Divide fruit up evenly Make jelly according to box and pour over fruit Allow to set in fridge Second layer: In a deep jug, add the custard powder and a little bit of milk to create a paste Add sugar and remainder of milk Cook on high in the microwave for 5mins, stirring occasionally Allow to cool and spoon onto set jelly Third layer: Whip cream until soft peaks Add sprinkles on top and serve |
tips...
* Can use any flavour of jelly
* For extra flavour, you can use the juice from the tin of fruit cocktail to make the jelly. Then only add 75g of cold water
* Can make it in a large bowl or a few smaller dishes/glasses
* Store in the fridge until you are ready to serve them
* Only add sprinkles when you are ready to serve as the colour may run
