Milktart (make a 25cm tart)
This is a very special recipe from my Ouma and one of my favourite things to eat!
Method: Pastry
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together
Rub in the margarine
Add yolk and water
Bake shell at 180 degrees for 15-20mins, until lightly brown
Method: Filling
Mix flour, cornflour and sugar with a bit of milk - must be a smooth runny consistency
Bring milk to the boil, add above mixture and boil slowly for +-5mins, stirring all the time
Remove from the heat and add margarine and vanilla
Beat eggs well with a little bit of milk
Add to the milk mixture and stir well. Boil for another 2-3mins or until mixture is thick
Remove from stove and allow to cool
Pour into cooked shell and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar

* If you can't get the filling mixture smooth and runny, you can sieve it
