Coconut brownies (makes +-20, depending on size)
My gran always made these for my mom and her sisters when they were little, so when my mom found this hand written recipe in an old recipe book, we just had to share it! You will want to make a double batch, trust me!
Method:
Melt the margarine
Mix in sugar
Add egg and beat together
Add cocoa, vanilla, flour, baking powder, coconut and salt and mix well
Place in a flat tin and bake at 180 degrees for 15 - 20mins
Beat all icing ingredients together and pour over brownies when warm
Allow to cool and cut into squares

tips...
* A substitute for treacle sugar is soft brown sugar
* No need to use a mixer, a wooden spoon and bit of effort will work just fine
* Use a tin/dish that has sides as you pour the icing over the brownies while they are still in the dish
