Chicken ala king (serves 4)
A very tasty family favourite
Method:
Season chicken breasts with garlic and herb seasoning and cook in a frying pan
Before chicken is fully cooked, add chicken stock and simmer for 10 minutes
Slice the chicken and allow the stock to cool (do not through it away)
Sauté onion and pepper.
Add mushrooms and stir fry over high heat
Add wine and boil to reduce it to half
Mix a little of the reserved stock with the white sauce powder and stir into the remaining stock.
Add cream and add this liquid to the vegetables
Stir until mixture thickens, add chicken and season

* Don't leave out the seasoning of the chicken, as it gives it such a nice flavour
* Can replace the wine with 250ml chicken stock
* You may want to add a bit more milk if it's a bit thick
* Serve with rice or pasta
